I have been excited about sharing this session since Melina contacted me earlier this year. I started brainstorming ideas for her little girls’ Harry Potter newborn photos straight away and then impatiently waited for months until Katara was born! There are so many gorgeous ideas online, but I didn’t find any that incorporated the Marauder’s Map.
Here is the finished image, just the way I saw it in my mind’s eye months ago!
I love it so much I got it framed to hang in the studio!
Harry Potter Newborn Photos
Katara’s parents also brought this amazing floor mat to continue the Harry Potter theme.
Of course we did some “normal” non-themed photos too. Katara had the cutest little facial expressions.
This is the first time I’ve used this little Sunburst blanket for a newborn session and I love the pop of colour. Made from Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply cotton yarn – my favourite!
I just adore simple white on white.
How sweet is this little bonnet her great-grandma made?
Family photos are such a special part of newborn sessions, particularly for the first bub. A brand new family, and life will never be the same. How sweet does Katara look snuggled up to her dad?
These are the gorgeous frames that Katara’s mum and dad chose.
If you’ve got a Harry Potter mad friend, feel free to share this post with them!
