Little Hamish came to the studio for his newborn session at 9 days old. Such a spunky little man with dad’s dark hair and a serious little frown at times. He was delightfully sleepy and such a snug little poser.

I love the simplicity of this set up. Perfect in colour or black and white.

His gorgeous complexion went so nicely with these blues.

I always suggest to my clients that they’re welcome to bring a sentimental or personal item that they’d like to incorporate in their session. Often they will bring heirloom baby shawls or something a loving grandma has hand-knitted. Hamish’s prop was definitely the biggest I’ve had so far! This awesome cart was used to take Hamish’s grandma on rides around her farm when she was just a little girl, and it has stayed in their family. He looked so cute and tiny in it!
