Ethan came back to start his Baby’s First Year series last week. So, I thought I’d better get his gorgeous newborn photography session up on the blog!

At 22 days old, Ethan was slightly outside the theoretical “ideal” window for newborn photos – but he slept beautifully for his session, and we also got some lovely awake shots while he was super alert.

Ethan brought along this handmade shawl with him to his session – perfect for these photos on the beanbag, as well as wrapped up in the little cot hubby made for the studio.

Mum requested blues and neutrals for his session, and I love the way all of his images work so beautifully together.

I’ve have my eye on one of these wooden teak root bowls for ages. I finally found this one on Ishka.com.au.

Family Love

I love family photos, especially mumma & baby photos!

Right at the end of his session he was sooooo sleepy that I couldn’t resist doing these last few images.

Prints – Ready to Hang

Of course my favourite part is the stunning finished product.

I wish I could photograph these fine art prints in a way that showed just how lovely they are. The colour, the feel, the texture… Must be seen to be properly enjoyed!
