The best part of any newborn or family portrait experience is when I get to print your photos for you.

I saw this on Facebook a while ago. I LOVE it. It’s true. And a conversation I had with my five year old in the car this afternoon confirmed it.

So anyway, we hung a few extra photos last weekend. Poor neglected photos that have been languishing in storage for a few years since we moved (oops!). Then today’s chat went like this:

Will (number one son, age 5) – “Mummy our house looks different now. With all the photos up.”

Me – “Yeah it does. Do you like it?”

Will (with feeling, and the slightest hint of a British accent) – “Yes, it’s BEAUTIFUL!”

This is exactly why I adore my job, and why I insist on every client walking away from their Gerty Photography portrait experience with at least one printed photo.
